Brand New Day

It’s a brand new day Our lives aren’t decided by one mistake Reflecting on the past, I’ve found my way Turn transgressions to lessons, come what may Plotting my own course, underway Open the door to opportunity After the mistakes of yesterday Tried to define who I’d grow to be Turn the corner, refuse to give in Unfamiliar with the feelin’ Of what it is to finally win The only thing that’s a guarantee Is missing out on every dream That you don’t chase It’s a brand new day Our lives aren’t decided by one mistake Reflecting on the past, I’ve found my way Turn transgressions to lessons, come what may Plotting my own course, underway Now I stand triumphant, holding my head high For the first time, in what feels like forever I feel alive It’s a brand new day Our lives aren’t decided by one mistake Reflecting on the past, I’ve found my way Turn transgressions to lessons, come what may Plotting my own course, underway I've learned that broken doesn’t mean lost It shows me what I need to work on I've found it better to forgive and forget Even in the tough times, I'll forge ahead It’s a brand new day Our lives won't be decided by one mistake Reflecting on the past, I’ve found my way Turn transgressions to lessons, come what may Plotting my own course, seize the day Seize the day
