Monster You Created
Monster You Created arrives carrying a grudge big enough to need its own room. Buried In Ruin’s debut album confronts betrayal, manipulation, and the unsettling realization that the people who hurt you can become part of who you are. From the opening accusation of Created A Monster, revenge becomes tangled with a harder question: how much of yourself are you willing to surrender to the person you’re trying to escape? Inside that anger is someone still trying to get through an ordinary day. Giving Up exposes the exhaustion behind the declarations of strength—the treatments that feel inadequate, the shaking hands, the need for somebody to hear a request for help. On Hiding, the search for honesty slowly collapses into pretending everything is fine, until even asking feels like too much. These moments give Monster You Created its emotional weight. Defiance and vulnerability live under the same skin, and taking back your life means confronting both. By the time Never Look Back returns to the accusation that opened the album, the farewell carries unfinished business. The monster knows exactly who made it. Getting that person out of its bloodstream is another fight entirely.
